Promoting open water simming

Apr 1st, 2012 | By
Durdle Door

Bob Holman has been asked to write a series of articles on “Great Places to Swim”. This could be anywhere in the UK.

As you will know, Bob has a fairly good idea about lidos but feels sure that many of you will have experiences of wild swims (sea, lakes, rivers) which gave you that wow factor!

If so, can you share them with Bob, please?. Email Bob at bob.holman@tiscali.co.uk.

SLSC Spring Gala 2012

Feb 18th, 2012 | By

18 March 2012 – Tooting Bec Lido

South London Swimming Club Team Captains, Mandy & Nicola have invited us to send a team to their wonderful Spring Gala.

The event will consist of 42 individual races for each team in under 45’s, over 45’s and two over 60’s age-groups. There will also be three relays, front crawl, medley and finally a squadron relay at the end.

We need mixed teams of at least 11 swimmers in each team, who must be prepared to swim at least 4 times each! So the bigger the team we send, the better.
