Our sixth annual Seahorse Swim on 5 July 2015 attracted swimmers from all over the country to Knoll Beach, Studland for 3.8km and 2km events in support of the Seahorse Trust. It was a good to see current and former club swimmers winning their their categories.
Confirmed entries (as at 2 Jul) for the 3.8m & 2km swims at Knoll Beach on 5 July 2015 are shown below.
The briefing documents in the 17 Jun email to competitors are available to download here with course maps. Competitors are requested to check they are listed in the correct category and advise any error before 24 June as no further changes will be permitted on event day.
Reserve applications are still being taken on a first come first served basis.
Entries are now closed for the 2km and 3.8km swims on Sunday 5 July 2015 from Knoll Beach, Studland.
We sent confirmation of entry emails to everyone who submitted a complete application and paid the corresponding fee.
An applicant (online or postal) in receipt of acknowledgement email from us who has not received confirmation of entry has 7 days in which to send the required payment to complete the entry.
Anyone who has sent in or made payment without submitting a corresponding application has 7 days to submit the entry form.
Following this we will open a reserve list.

East Dorset Open Water Swimming Club is organising its sixth open water swim across Studland Bay, near Swanage on the Isle of Purbeck, Dorset, by kind permission of the National Trust and in support of the Seahorse Trust. The swim will be held in affiliation with the BLDSA for wetsuit and non wetsuit competitors, aged 16/O.
Start: from Knoll Beach, Studland peninsula
Swims: 2km or 3.8km (non-transferable)
Registration: 8am to 9am
Start Time: 10am
Entry Fee – £32, or £35 inclusive of temporary BLDSA Day Membership
No entries will be accepted on event day.
Awards to the top 3 fastest male / female swimmers in both wetsuit and non wetsuit categories and trophies for first local 3.8km male / female non-wetsuit swimmer over 40.

East Dorset Open Water Swimming Club will hold its annual open water swim across the spectacular Studland Bay near Swanage on the Isle of Purbeck by kind permission of the National Trust and in support of the Seahorse Trust.
The swim will be held under BLDSA rules although both wetsuit and non wetsuit competitors may enter.
Start from Knoll Beach, Studland.
Swims: 2km or 3.8km (non-transferable, held concurrently)
Registration from 8 am to 9 am.
Briefing at 9.15 am.
Start time 10 am.
East Dorset Open Water Swimming Club held its fifth annual Seahorse Swim on 22 Jun by kind permission of the National Trust and in support of the Seahorse Trust. The open water swim attracted 207 swimmers from all over the country and was held in near perfect conditions.
Club Chairman Bob Holman said that the club was very grateful for the help and support from RLSS Poole and associated lifesaving clubs for providing fantastic safety cover. Bob was delighted by very positive feedback from the swimmers, a tribute to the hard work of his committee and support from a fantastic group of volunteers on the day.
The competitor list for the Men’s and Women’s 3.8km and 2km events have been published below and emails sent to entrants. Competitors must complete mandatory registration on the day to enter the swim.
