EDOWSC 10km Swim – 9 Sep 2012

Aug 22nd, 2012 | By
Sandbanks

Starting at Fishermans Walk, east of Boscombe at 7am and finishing adjacent to the main car park at Sandbanks (not Shore Road), estimated 10am to 11am.

This is an informal members only swim – no taster swimmers. A staggered start may be used to let swimmers all finish at about the same time.

It is very important that each swimmer provides their own beach walker. The beach walker will be responsible for transporting the swimmer’s clothing. It is advisable for the beach walker to carry warm refreshments and fresh water for the swimmer.

Please register your interest in this informal swim with Bob Holman (bobdiholman@btinternet.com). Further details will be provided direct soon.

Anyone willing to assist with the organisation / administration on the day should also contact Bob Holman.

ASA SW Region

So, it’s all over. The closing ceremony capped Britain’s most successful Games in more than a century. We will have to sit tight and wait for the start of the Paralympics on 29 August 2012 to fill the void and with record ticket sales already realised, it is sure to be the greatest Paralympics of them all. We hope you, like our club members, have been gripped by Olympic fever and have been thrilled, excited and enthused for sport once more.

You’re invited to have fun, try something new and celebrate where it starts for every great athlete – at your local club. Contact Gerry Griffin to join us a taster session (Gerry-Wareham2003@hotmail.co.uk).
