3.8km Aqua Sphere Powered Long Swim Series 2009

Coinciding with the launch of its Ironman Aqua Sphere powered tri wetsuits, Aqua Sphere has announced the UK’s first ever swim series built around 3.8km, the gruelling Waikiki Roughwater distance. Anyone can take part in this unique challenge, from triathletes of all levels to curious open water swimmers, and the series is running from July - Sept in four unique swim locations:

5 July 2009 – South Cerney, Gloucestershire
19 July 2009 – Box End, Bedfordshire
9 August 2009 – Bournemouth, Dorset
6 September 2009 – Dorney Lake, Berkshire

The BIG South Swim

Saturday 29 August 2009 - Eton College, Rowing Centre, Dorney Lake, Windsor, SL4 6QP

Wetsuits are mandatory unless expected swim time meets certain standard for this open water challenge which takes place in the 2012 Olympic Rowing venue. The Lake is not too deep and is naturally filled from underground source. It is crystal clear and calm.

1.5km Open Water Swim (2 laps)
3.8km Open Water Swim (4 laps)
