Open Water Officials course

West Midland Swimming is running an Open Water Officials course on Saturday 25 June 2011 from 10am - 3pm at Coventry Sports Centre.

The course is open to anyone who would like to learn about officiating at open water events. You do not have to have any qualifications in pool officiating to qualify as an open water official.

ASA South East Region will be running a course for new officials on Saturday 23 July 2011 at Eastbourne. This will be in the form of a seminar in the morning followed by a practical session at the Eastbourne 5Km event in the afternoon.

Robert Outtram appointed to IPC Swimming Technical Committee

A valued British volunteer well known in the open water swimming community, Robert Outtram, has been appointed to the International Paralympic Committee’s (IPC) Swimming Technical Committee.

Outtram has been chosen as Head of Technical Control after his countless number of years volunteering within the sport.
