Tickets for the London 2012 Olympic Games are now on sale around the world. In the UK and within the EU, people can apply for tickets between 15 March and 26 April 2011. 6.6 million tickets will be on sale to the public from 15 March 2011.

With immense sadness, FINA and the worldwide aquatic community are mourning the loss of open water swimmer Fran Crippen (USA), who passed away after falling unconscious during the last leg of the FINA 10km Marathon Swimming World Cup, held in Fujairah (UAE), on 23 October 2010.
In this episode of the Morning Swim Show, Steven Munatones, the open water correspondent for Swimming World Magazine, relives the action from the 10km race at the Pan Pacific championships and details the men and women from the United States who are poised to become Olympians racing for a medal in the 10K at London 2012.
Munatones also talks about the racing course in London and how it will provide a great viewing experience for fans.
London 2012 organisers have released further details of the 10km open water swimming event in the Serpentine at Hyde Park.
The race will consist of six laps of 1.67km rather than the more widely-used format of four laps of 2.5km.
Defending Olympic 10km open water bronze medallist Cassie Patten insisted the different format would have little bearing on the results on the day and admitted a visit to the site had left her tingling at the prospect of competing in London.
Olympic silver medallist David Davies has announced that he is to switch his Olympic preparation to Wales in his bid for glory in London.
The Barry-born athlete moved to Loughborough in 2007 and has now decided to return to the City of Cardiff, a club that took him from the ages of 7 to 22. Davies will now rejoin his childhood coach Dave Haller.
“I have found this year tough in terms of my performance both in competitions and in training and I knew that I needed to make a change,” Davies said.
