Faversham Swimming Pool

1.5 and 5 metre diving boards.

My comment:
We arrived at Faversham in the early afternoon to discover that this was yet another leisure complex pool. The staff was friendly and welcoming but it was obvious that we would again have to pick our way through the many young (and older!) swimmers who were using the pool. Worst still, it was roped off at the deep end to allow the 1.5 and 5 metre diving boards to be used. We again decided to swim for 30 minutes knowing that we would complete our mile. After several brief stops and near misses, we completed our swim. The pool was warm and the hot summer sun bore down on us leaving me sweating at the finish. I mustn’t complain too much about the difficulties of completing our mile in pools like this as it was good to see facilities well used and particularly this one where also the diving boards were providing a great source of enjoyment for the local youngsters.
